Dog Is Shot In The Face By Home Invaders, Then Owner Finds Message From Anonymous Angel

We’d like to think there aren’t people in this world who openly hurt animals to get what they want, but unfortunately, our reality tells a different story. Like when a foster mom adopted this poor pit bull just to leave him starving in a crate, it happens time and time again.

Luckily, there are good people in the world to counter it.

Last week, Ireneo Santos, his fiancée, and two friends suffered a home invasion in Loxahatchee, FL.

Authorities say two armed men broke into his home at 1 a.m., firing off shots as they entered.

After the men allegedly demanded cash and electronics, the fearless friends reacted, overpowering the man and disarming him.

The intruders fled and Santos called 911, but not before he witnessed something horrible: Jaxon, his pet dog, the first line of defense, was lying in a pool of his own blood, shot in the face and crying.

“It was really hard to see,” Santos said.

Upon learning the cost of Jaxon’s emergency surgery, Santos and his fiancée created a GoFundMe page, as they could not afford it themselves.

Then a miracle happened.

An anonymous donor bypassed the page, and paid Jaxon’s bill in full directly from the vet. Santos will be using the money raised to pay back the “angel” who allowed Jaxon a second chance at life. The pup has had the surgery, and is recovering.
